13 – Valley of Dahanu

Dah and Hanu are two villages in Dahanu valley in the best tourist attractions in Ladakh & Leh region, where the Brokpa clan lives. It is the only Brokpa community hamlet in India that welcomes visitors. The people that live here are thought to be Indo-Aryans who arrived in the Indus Valley centuries ago. Polyandry has still been practiced by some members of the tribe because of the low number of women.
